Position Description:

The Worship Coordinator will help to plan and implement meaningful worship experiences for all of the Lee’s Summit campus. The worship coordinator will serve as the Sunday morning “Producer” to ensure the smooth facilitation of our sanctuary services. The worship coordinator will work with the tech coordinator to schedule and develop our volunteer tech teams.

This is a part-time hourly position.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a passion and love for Christ

  • High School Graduate, B.A. preferred

  • Experience in a large church/related ministry setting

  • Proficient computer skills in the following: Word, Excel, Outlook, Planning Center Online (or comparable worship media software)

  • Demonstrates exceptional communication, relational, and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with attention to detail

  • Excellent team player, flexible and adaptable to changes

  • Strong knowledge of worship styles and trends

  • Expertise/understanding in cultural trends related to worship

Responsibilities and Accountabilities of this position include:

  • Fulfilling the role of Sunday morning “Producer” for the sanctuary services

  • Facilitating all aspects of the Sunday morning worship experiences, acting as the coordinator for all service leaders, including pastors, sound technicians, computer operators, musicians, and other service participants.

  • Communicating the service order to all teams/individuals involved in worship to ensure a smooth, seamless worship experience.

  • Creating Livestream events for worship and special services.

  • Coordinating worship needs with guest services and congregational care teams.

  • Assisting with the execution of weekly worship design plans, including note taking and communicating any special service elements to appropriate ministry areas as directed by Worship Director.

  • Coordinating and assisting with special services as needed.

  • Assisting with the coordination of volunteers for weekend worship and special services as needed

  • Maintaining accurate service order information in Planning Center Online

  • Maintaining worship plans/templates in Planning Center Online and maintaining the “full service schedule” document.

  • Inputting the preaching/prayers schedules created by the Executive Pastor

  • Inputting the choir/special music rotations.

  • Inputting other items decided upon during monthly/weekly worship meetings such as communion, baptisms, and new member Sundays.

  • Acting in a support role to facilitate the worship design process

  • Capture notes for all worship related meetings and distribute to appropriate ministry areas.

  • Calendaring of worship planning meetings.

  • Assisting in the preparation of semi-annual planning retreats and worship meetings, creating accurate worship meeting agendas, and maintaining and distributing meeting notes.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Hours:

Sundays: 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Monday - Friday: Hours scheduled to equal 20 per week, part-time hourly.

Title: Missions Director

Supervisor: Executive Pastor

Position Description

The Missions Director is responsible to lead a comprehension program for mission outreach for the Lee’s Summit Campus, including local, national, and global outreach. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field preferred.

  • Leadership experience in a church or non-profit setting.

  • Must have a passion and personal experience in local, national, and/or global mission engagement. Able and willing to travel in the US and globally.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and to be highly self-motivated. Successful goal setting, follow up, and achievement skills.

  • Proven interpersonal skills. Ability to develop one-on-one relationships within the church and with mission partners. Ability to interact well with all generational levels.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build and work with volunteer teams

  • Demonstrated ability to equip and coach leaders

  • Ability to be highly effective in a team-oriented environment

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products. Willingness to learn and effectively utilize Church Community Builder.

  • Must have a passion and love for Christ.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Recruit, equip, and coach mission leaders within the church.

  • Be available before and after Sunday worship services to build relationships with church attendees and to help recruit people for missions.

  • Serve as a voice of missions at the Lee’s Summit Campus and engage church attendees in missions. Mobilize the church to connect relationally with mission partners.

  • Develop a year-round program of mission education for all ages, so the church will be well informed and strongly committed to mission outreach.

  • Collaborate with the pastoral team to identify needs in our community that our church can meet and mobilize leaders and teams.

  • Creatively promote the mission opportunities available through the church, working closely with the Marketing and Media Coordinators.

  • Oversee the large scale serve events to mobilize the church to serve the local community (minimum 2 annually).

  • Work alongside Small Groups to promote service opportunities.

  • Assist with operations and processes for national and international short-term mission trips.

Required Hours:

Hours scheduled to equal 40 per week, full-time, exempt. Sunday mornings required. Must be willing to attend evening and weekend meetings and events as necessary.
