Sr. High Mission Trip

The Senior High Mission Trip to Zanesville, Ohio will be June 22-29, 2019. Students who will be in 9th-12th grade or college freshmen in the Fall of 2019 are eligible. We will be serving with Jackson Area Ministries, their goal is to keep families in their homes.  Work may include light construction, painting, repairs, lawn maintenance. Total trip cost is $350*. *The $100 deposit is due Sunday, May 5 at the required parent and student meeting. Monday, June 3 is the last day to register and the balance is due.  Payments made after June 3 are subject to a $20 late fee.

Jr. High Mission Trip

The Junior High mission trip is July 22-25, 2019 to St Louis, MO. Students who will be in 7th, 8th, or 9th grade in the Fall of 2019 are eligible to attend. Our work projects will include working in food pantries, community gardens, and neighborhood beautification. Total trip cost is $200*. Sign up here!

Isaiah 58 calls us as the church to do something about the poor, oppressed, and rebuild what has been broken. We’re going to Wilderness Camp for a mini mission trip/retreat! Meet at 5:30 p.m. Friday and return by 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cost is $45, sign up here by April 1.

Believe Jr. High Conference

This is an amazing conference full of worship and teaching from God’s word for 6th-8th grade students only! We stay overnight at at church in Kansas. Meet at 5 p.m. Friday and be back by 5 p.m. Saturday. Register online for $65 until February 20, $75 until March 6, then $85 until registration closes on March 19. Sign up here!

Confirmation Experience Retreat

The 2019 Confirmation Experience Retreat will be held February 22-23 at Youthfront West in Edgerton, KS. We have blast getting away from our weekly stress and hanging out with each other and God. It features group games designed to build community, a spiritual focus, tons of laughter, and lots of good food. Registration, medical release forms, and $50 (covers food, lodging, and transportation) are due at check-in. Check-in is at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 22 and we will return at 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, February 23.

7th - 12th graders are invited to bring your friends for a game of Humans vs. Zombies! Humans vs. Zombies is a game of tag where humans defend themselves with socks and Nerf Guns to avoid being tagged by the growing number of zombies. Bring the following to play:

  • Nothing = play as a zombie.

  • Canned meat (tuna, chicken, Spam) = sock (max of 3).

  • Pancake mix & bottle of syrup = bandanna (max of 2). Bandanna = extra life! 

  • Pack of baby wipes = borrow a Nerf gun from us

  • Package of diapers (size 3-5 is best) = bring & use your own Nerf gun 

If you bring diapers but don't have your own Nerf gun to bring, you can use one of ours WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!  Sign up here!

All items brought will be donated to our Grace Place Services.

Trivia Night

It’s time for our annual Trivia Night Fundraiser! Teams will compete in a traditional trivia night to see who has the most trivia knowledge! Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the game will begin at 6:30 p.m. SHARP!

There is a maximum of 8 people per team (ages 16 & up). An entry fee of $80 per team is due upon arrival. Purchase 10 mulligans for $10 (optional). Bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Water and soda will be available for purchase!

All proceeds from this event will be used for Summer 2019 Jr. & Sr. High mission trips.

Girls Retreat

All Jr & Sr High girls—come join us for a girls’ night in! We will talk about loving ourselves and others because we are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image!  We will do all this at the cozy and beautiful home of Lori Worden: 1740 NE Aberdeen Drive in Lee’s Summit. Cost is $15 to cover food and supplies. Bring sleep stuff and clothes for Sat. Arrive there at 7 pm on Friday. Pickup at 11 am on Saturday. Register online by Oct. 1.

The Club 56 Lock-In is a fun and safe event full of games, food, contests, prizes, fellowship and worship. This party lasts all night. Forget the PJ's...Students won't want to sleep!  Check-in from 7-7:30 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall. Pick-up is from 7-7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 25. Cost is $20. Click here to register.

Color War

All 7th-12th grade students are invited to Color War on Sunday, August 19, from 6-8:30 p.m. in the WCC Parking Lot! We will play games, have an all-out color frenzy, and music! Wear something white that can be ruined. Bring money for food trucks and Kona Ice. Otherwise, the event is FREE! If we reach our attendance goal of 200 students, we will shave our Student Ministry Pastor's legs! If you've seen the Color Run 5Ks, then you know what to expect.
