The Summer Lunch Ministry provides sack lunches every weekday to children in three food-insecure areas in Lee's Summit from May 25 through August 21.

Team members gather at the Mission Building, 4201 NE Lakewood Way (just down the road from the church) at 10:00 AM to assemble the sandwiches and lunch sacks. At 10:45 AM, the lunches are taken out to the three locations, and the children come out and receive their lunches.

There are no age restrictions on this team other than being old enough to carry out very simple tasks like putting an item in each sack.

This is such a great way to teach your children about serving others in your community. It is a fun way for families to serve together.

You can sign up for as many or as few days as you would like, since you sign up for one day at a time. Try it once or commit to a weekly serving spot, but we promise you will love this, and spots can fill quickly, so grab them while you can!
