Next Steps

No matter how long you have been at Woods Chapel Lee's Summit, we welcome you to take the next step. Think of it as a guide to our church. Below you will see opportunities that will help you go through the steps at a pace comfortable for you. If you have any questions along the way, contact Jacob Stansberry.

1. Chat with a Pastor

Sunday, May 19 // 10:00 a.m. - 10:25 a.m. // Library (upstairs)

Everyone is on a spiritual journey and we want to equip you to take your next step in faith. Whether you've only visited for a week or two or have been attending Woods Chapel for many years, everyone is invited! This is a place to meet a pastor in the church and a time to find out who we are, and to connect with others who are looking for ways to take the next step. This gathering isn't about membership, it really is about chatting with a pastor of this church. However, if membership is something you are interested in, this is your first step.

2. Connect Groups

Sundays (June 2 - 23) // 9:00 a.m. // Room 301

Our Connect Groups are designed to help you meet new people, grow in your faith, and learn more about our beliefs, our practices, your spiritual gifts, and how we serve together.

Connect Group: One Night

Sunday, June 2 // 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. // Lecture Hall

Four classes in one night! This is perfect for those who have been interested in Connect Group but haven’t been able to commit to multiple Sunday mornings.

3. Baptism Class

Tuesday, May 14 // 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. // Room 311

This class is for those who are interested in being baptized (or having their children baptized) or who simply want to know more about what we believe baptism represents in our lives. Childcare available at registration.

4. Get Involved

Here at Woods Chapel, we encourage getting involved beyond the church and into the community as well, especially when it comes to serving our neighbors! We have opportunities for those interested in serving the church, community, or in the world!

Looking to connect with others in a smaller group setting? We have study groups, care groups, life groups, and so many more! Visit our Group page to find a group that’s right for you!

5. Membership

Interested in membership? Contact the Connecting Director, Jacob Stansberry, for more information on becoming a member!
