The Table at Woods Chapel Raytown
The Table is a dinner church – each Wednesday, our worshiping community gathers at these tables to share a sacred meal as an act of worship where we connect with God and one another over our common physical and spiritual hunger. Our worship is table, people, and Jesus-centric. Come for the food, and stay for the community!

We believe everyone deserves a place to belong. Now, we're creating another place to experience welcome, dignity, and care. This fall, we're launching a Shower Ministry to serve our unhoused neighbors at our Raytown Campus. Each Wednesday, we'll offer showers, clean clothing, and hygiene supplies.
Want to help make someone feel welcome? Our volunteers will help with:
Welcoming guests and assisting with check-in, helping guests choose clean clothing, preparing shower caddies and hygiene supplies, washing and organizing towels. You don't need special experience to serve - just a willingness to welcome others with kindness and dignity. Come be part of the team!
This winter, Woods Chapel is opening our doors to provide a warm, safe, and welcoming place for 25 of our unhoused neighbors to sleep during dangerously cold weather. Our Warming Shelter will operate at our Raytown Campus from December 1 through March 1, opening when temperatures are forecast to reach 10°F. Whether you can serve overnight, help prepare the space, welcome guests, prepare food, or simply want to learn more, there is a place for you in this ministry. Together, we can make sure that when the temperature drops, our neighbors don't have to face the cold alone.
