WC Raytown Warming Shelter Training & Launch Event
This winter, Woods Chapel is opening our doors to provide a warm, safe, and welcoming place for 25 of our unhoused neighbors to sleep during dangerously cold weather. Our Warming Shelter will operate at our Raytown Campus from December 1 through March 1, opening when temperatures are forecast to reach 10°F.
On Thursday, November 5 at 6:30 PM, we'll gather at our Raytown Campus for a training and launch event as we prepare to welcome our neighbors this winter. Whether you can serve overnight, help prepare the space, welcome guests, prepare food, or simply want to learn more, there is a place for you in this ministry. Together, we can make sure that when the temperature drops, our neighbors don't have to face the cold alone. Thanksgiving Giveaway at Grace Place Clothing Closet + Food Pantry
Thanksgiving Giveaway! On Saturday, November 21 from 10 AM-Noon, our clothing closet and food pantry will be open, and we will give out Thanksgiving Meal Kits (basic ingredients minus the turkey). Both the clothing closet and food pantry are the client's choice, so you select a certain amount of clothing items (infant-adult sizes) and food items per person/family unit. No pre-sign-up is required. Basic contact information will be asked of first-time guests. The Food Pantry and Clothing Closet is available per person, 1 time per month.
*Even if you have already been to the food pantry in November, you are still eligible for the Thanksgiving Kit.

Food Pantry is available once per month per person. There is no limit to how often you visit the clothing closet; there is only a limit of 4 items per person. If you are selecting clothes for more than four people, please consider bringing another person to help with your selections. Don’t forget to bring your own bag!

The Table: Back 2 School Night
We're saving you a seat for our Back-2-School Night at The Table! Join us for a fun night to wish the summer goodbye and bless the new school year! Bring the whole family for bouncy houses, face painting, games, food, and school supplies & book giveaways. We'll have our regular menu of chicken strips, mashed potatoes, rolls, and dessert.
