Christmas is about us receiving the greatest gift ever—God becoming one of us in Jesus! AND Christmas is a powerful opportunity for us to respond to that gift by giving gifts of our own. Every year at Woods Chapel, we have the chance to celebrate Jesus’ birth by channeling some of our resources to specific ministries that mean something to us individually or as a family. All of what we give toward The Gift goes toward our mission of connecting people to Jesus and the ministries that help make that happen.
The challenge I’ve given to myself and the church is this: Give as much as we spend on ourselves. This may mean spending less on ourselves, or it may be giving more. Either way, great things happen when we remember and celebrate what God’s done!

CLEARR Ministries
CLEARR is a faith-based community for individuals impacted by addiction and seeking to overcome it. This ministry provides support to individuals and families in crisis, and offers a supportive community through worship and discussion sessions at CLEARR Nights on Tuesday evenings.
The Table at WC Raytown
The Table at WC Raytown is a dinner church that gathers each Wednesday to nourish bodies and souls. We seat people from all walks of life at Jesus-centric tables to build community, transform lives, and feed and be fed. Your support helps sustain this vital ministry in the Raytown community.
Local Missions
Woods Chapel is committed to making a difference in our community through missions. Your gift will support the 2026 local projects, including BackSnacks, Grace Place Food Pantries, Hillcrest Transitional Housing, Summer Lunch, School Partnerships, and more!
Global Missions - Guatemala
Woods Chapel is launching a new global mission partnership with the community of El Paraiso in Guatemala. At present, the community faces significant barriers to healthcare access, clean water, and adequate facilities to properly serve children. Funds will support several initial infrastructure priorities to improve health and sanitation: the construction of a community medical clinic, the repair of a water purification system, and the construction of bathrooms and a septic tank at the community center.
Facility Renovations
Over the past 50 years, Woods Chapel has made a lasting impact on our community and beyond. As we look ahead to the next 50 years, we are excited to update our facilities to support our impactful ministry. This includes enhancing the technology in our worship venues, remodeling the lobby, updating the decor of the upper floor, and maintaining our grounds.
