The Confirmation Experience is a chance to learn the foundation and basics of our Christian faith, with the anticipation of students wanting to be confirmed in their faith as a follower of Christ. Emphasis will be placed on how our relationship with Jesus is enriched by understanding who God is, what God has done in our lives, and what God is doing in our lives. We dig into everything and anything that has to do with God, and we do it without being afraid of any question or doubt. This is a great time to ask the hard questions!
Confirmation Experience is open to students in grades 7-12. It begins January 14, 2026 with a required parent and student meeting. The Confirmation Experience will meet from 5:30-7 PM on Wednesdays through April 29. The Experience will end with a special service on Sunday, April 26.
Registration is required.

Pickleball Tournament
Grab a paddle and join us for our Student Ministry Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser! Proceeds will help support the WC Students’ summer mission trips, so every game makes a difference. The tournament is open to everyone and will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM in the WCC Gym. When you arrive, stop by the check-in table to get assigned to a court. Bring your own paddle if you have one, and we’ll have a few extras available, too. Come play, have fun, and help send our students out on mission this summer!

Paint Your Pet
Come paint your pet with us on March 14 from 1-3 PM in the Lecture Hall!! We will provide everything you need, just bring the good vibes!
Each painting will cost $35. $5 of each admission will be donated to the pet ministry to provide services to our furry friends in need. You will submit a HIGH QUALITY photo of ONE animal that will be pre-traced onto a canvas and you will be given a custom color pallet to recreate your favorite companion through art!
Avoid blurry photos, awkward body positions, and dark lighting. A high-quality photo consists of: clear image, good lighting, and well defined body position. The picture will be traced exactly how it is onto the canvas to be painted.

Something to Eat Serving Event
Our WC Students and WC Kids are working with Something to Eat to make a bigger impact on hunger in 2026! Join us on February 28 for a city-wide meal packing event to supply area pantries with thousands of shelf-stable meals.
We will meet at 9:00 AM at the SMB, then serve at the food packing event. Pick up at the SMB at 1:30 PM.
This city-wide meal-packing event will be a large, unified effort to fight food insecurity in Kansas City. In one weekend, we’ll pack thousands of meals for our neighbors, living out Jesus' call to serve in Matthew 25, "Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me...."
This event is about more than just one day - it's about growing our compassion to serve others as a way of life.
