Hey Church!
Each year, we’re invited to pray about generosity and how it supports the ongoing work of our church. This year is extra special as we celebrate 50 years! Generations before us gave faithfully to help us live out our mission: Connecting people to Jesus Christ by building a movement where all are included, accepted, and loved.
I’m sure you know that living out our mission requires resources, especially as we continue to see growth in so many areas—worship attendance, the number of new guests, the people we’re reaching in Raytown and through our CLEARR Recovery Ministry. Our children and student ministries continue their growth, and our missions are helping thousands of people both locally and internationally. All this happens when we work together and give together.
When it comes to our 2026 annual giving, we’re each asked to pray, “God, what do you want to do through me to accomplish your will in our church?” That includes using our time, skills, and financial support. Every year, everyone who calls WCC home is invited to fill out an annual commitment card. (If you’re a member of the church, you’ve already promised to do this, so now is your chance!) Janet and I plan to take a step forward in our generosity, and I challenge you to join us. We’re looking back at 50 years and looking forward to 2026 as we start the next 50! Let’s build on the past, in the present, for the future.
