Methods of Giving
Recurring Gift – Woods Chapel Church uses an online giving platform (Pushpay) accessible here, which allows you to set up your own self-managed giving schedule. You determine the amount, frequency and payment method – bank account or credit card. (Credit card payments add processing fees for the church up to 3%.) Previously authorized ELECTRONIC FUND TRANSFERS will continue in 2019 unless you indicate a change on your commitment card or you notify the Finance Department.
Cash or Check – You may use the envelopes available in worship to return your gift during the offering time, or mail to: Woods Chapel Church at 4725 NE Lakewood Way, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064.
Appreciated Stock or Qualified Charitable Distributions from your IRA are also giving options. Contact the Finance Office at 816-795-8848.
An Approach to Giving
Begin with Prayer: Thank God for your blessings and ask for guidance.
Assess your income and giving: Determine your current giving as a percentage of your income. Click here for a Monthly Giving as Percentage of Income chart.
Set a giving goal: If you are not currently tithing (giving 10 percent of your income), start with a lower percentage and then plan to increase the percentage each year, growing toward the tithe and then beyond.
Determine giving method: Select the option that is best for both you and the church.
